VAFA clubs lead the way over PLAY4BCNA Round

It was recently announced that VAFA clubs collectively raised more than $19,000 for Breast Cancer Network Australia through their fundraising efforts over PLAY4BCNA Round on Mother’s Day weekend!

The final tally of $19,569 is the highest of all participating leagues and associations and blew away the VAFA’s initial collective fundraising target of $10,000.

From a club perspective, Canterbury raised a competition high $5268, followed by Old Brighton ($2343), Hampton Rovers ($2228), Old Ivanhoe ($1942), Richmond Central ($1710) and Prahran Assumption ($1606).

A huge congratulations to the Old Brighton Women's team who led the fundraising charge for our club. It was magnificent to see every player and coach of our four home teams arrive on gameday with a donation. You should all be very proud of your efforts.

Thank you to everyone in the Old Brighton community who supported this fantastic initiative!
