Nice warm spring day at Harry Trott against Collegians. We haven’t been too consistent or playing our best footy since the bye. However today we turned it on and were absolutely clinical. We watched some tape last week of our mids/fowards doing some lazy stuff compared to the good stuff, showing that we are picking and choosing. Also went through some set up stuff. We executed everything Saturday though as i wanted to make a statement and get things right as we head into finals. The final bit of motivation was seeing that the 3rd bottom team Haileybury had defeated the 4th placed team St Bedes in an earlier match, showing you cant take any team lightly. The big ground allowed us to take the game on and work our opponents over, our midfield was was top with Branson, Campigli and Hipwell having a field day thanks to Hughes Dominance. Then our rotations of Segar Fish Douscher followed them up well. Our forward line was in good form competing and pressuring the opposition forcing them into errors. Noske Munnings Collins doing a lot of hard selfless work which allowed the likes of Jiffa and Branson to capitalise in front of goal. Our defence still had to do some defending and again got the job done as usual. You can win games by 100 + points and think it was a waste of time and not look too much into the game, but Saturday was clinical and hopefully we play 3 more games like that.
