Past Player Focus: Nathan Gamble
Nathan Gamble, affectionately known to many at Old Brighton as ‘Elvis’ because of his fabulous hair style back in the under 19’s days, was Vice Captain in the 2002 Premiership Under 19 side, also featuring in the best players on that victorious day.
Since his playing days, and after completing his apprenticeship and hairdressing qualifications, Nathan acquired the new nickname ‘Kid Gamble’ during his career as a professional Muay Thai fighter.
These days, Nathan still works in a gym training aspiring male and female fighters, but has also gone on to open his own Barber Shop in Station Street, Moorabbin, ‘Kid Gamble Barbershop’. Along with a swag of AFL players, pro fighters, and other celebrities, Nathan cuts hair and does a ‘traditional barbershop shave’ to all and sundry, in his custom-furnished shop with rockabilly décor.
He would like to give back to his old club, and is sponsoring the Under 19’s with ‘Best on Ground’ free haircut vouchers for their remaining games this year. Plus also offering a 10% discount for all OBGFC medallion keyring holders.
Check out Kid Gamble Barbershop on his Instagram page, or book a haircut on his easy to use online booking system. But book in advance as he fills up pretty quick.
