The Women’s team faced Old Haileybury on Saturday in match that went some way to shaping the final four with only one home and away game remaining next week. Kicking with a reasonably strong wind in the first quarter, the Tonners were unable to capitalise on the wind advantage and it was Old Haileybury who took the honours at the first break.  The trend continued in the second quarter and we went into the half time break with a 24-point deficit. Our effort in the second half was much better and each team scored one goal each in the second half which was representative of our improved performance. Unfortunately, the damage was done in the first half and we eventually went down by 28 points. Our next game is the last home and away game for the season against Ivanhoe in a twilight game at 4.45 at home.
