The Women’s team faced Old Mentone at home on Saturday in what loomed to be a danger game following recent good form from our opponents. Kicking into a slight breeze we immediately jumped to a strong lead and held this until a late goal from Mentone reduced the lead  to 13 points at the first break. Without stars Indi Tait and Emma Stafford, the team worked really well especially using quick ball movement and handball in muddy conditions. We continued our good form for the remainder of the match restricting our opponents to only 1 point after quarter time and eventually running our 59-point winners. Our next game is against 3rd placed Beaumaris in a twilight game away.
