We came up against another undefeated team this week and had to make a few changes thanks to Groovin the Moo and school coaching. We had a few players playing their first game for the club too in Jonty Thomas, Seb Mottram and Alex Grant.

We started the game pretty well into a strong breeze and defended pretty well considering the conditions were against us. The second half we played probably our worst quarter of football, luckily thanks to Branson and Lynch we managed to still hang on to a slender lead heading into the main break. We made a few changes to the line-up and it paid dividends straight away with us kicking the first couple of goals of the quarter, one of them was to Harry Osbourne who will never kick a better goal in his lifetime.

Going into the last quarter we had a good lead given the conditions but I wanted to see us finish off the game and the first 10 minutes were really good and after I didn’t think I’d see a better goal than Shrooms for the day Jack Munnings kicked his first goal for the club with a standing booonana that outdid Shroom. This also would’ve led to a long night because both boys do love to talk it up a bit too – and to be fair they have every right too. We are now 4 wins and yet to taste defeat, but still need to defend and work hard in games. You still need to earn your wins no matter the opposition. Looking forward to heading out to Trinity Ovals next week and continuing our run.
