Round 10 U19s Match Report

OLD BRIGHTON:    4.10-34

MARCELLIN:          4.8-32

Coming up against an opponent who beat us earlier in the year. Playing at home we wanted to keep our win streak alive, which somehow we did.

We played poorly for 3 quarters in a very scrappy game where there was very limited clean ball movement and scoring opportunities as both teams made it a scrap.

A few players were down and our midfield was beaten soundly for the first time this year with a few of the boys getting tagged. To their credit we scrapped it out and got over the line with a good last quarter performance.

Charlie Hicks and Harry Hynes lead the side for the first time in the absence of Tom Wallace and Matt Spiers. We hopefully get a few of the school boys in from this week to help with a lot of players going on holidays over the next month.

We have two big games coming up that if we can win, we will go into the next bye sitting pretty comfortably in the top 2 and 4.

Goals: L. Farrell, J. Collins, B. Konoroth, F. Campigli

Best: F. Campigli, L. Farrell, T. Burns, H. Hynes, H. Butler, J. Micari
