Round 6 Womens Match Report

OLD BRIGHTON:  13.8-86

On Saturday we played host to our local neighbours, Hampton Rovers in a match being played for the Browne Cup. The Browne Cup was established several years ago to acknowledge the contribution that members of the Browne family have made to both clubs – Anthony for Hampton Rovers, and Bill for Old Brighton.

The Tonners started really well and had 7 shots on goal in the first quarter and by half time we lead by 53 points. Our team work was greatly improved in previous weeks and this enabled us to continue our dominance in the second half to run out the game by a margin of 79 points. We now sit second on the ladder and face a tough test this week against fourth place Old Haileybury next Saturday.
