Round 4 U19s Match Report

OLD BRIGHTON:   14.20.104

ORMOND:               6.4.40

Coming up against a team who were a bit unknown in Ormond who knocked off the second team on the table last week, the boys were excited for the challenge in front of the home crowd.

From the first couple of minutes we were really switched on. All the hard work from the last few weeks of getting our set ups right really paid off. Keeping the ball in our forward half for long periods. The forwards doing a great job of hassling and tackling creating repeat opportunities. If only we could finish a little better.

Our stoppage work again is on the improve with some good ruck work and quick hands out of stoppages seeing Burns/Burt/Hynes repeatedly running out of the stoppages. Hicks/Campigli controlled the wings, while our skipper Tom Wallace controlled and set up our defense with Butler/Micari shutting down their big boys allowing Osbourne/Wallace/Kats to create off half back while Cochran had his best game for the club.

Mack Borgoine playing his first game for the club showed his hardness early setting up a few goals. Bryce again had a really good game with his run and Farrell continually finding space and kicking goals. We play Hampton next week at Hampton hopefully we can continue our good form and continue to improve and get better as a team.  Thanks for all the help and support
