Round 4 Reserves Match Report

OLD BRIGHTON:     3.7.25

OLD XAVERIANS:   14.7.91

ROSCOES GOOD EARLY IN A TOUGH BATTLE

The Roscoes played their best footy for the season in the first half, when they made Old Xavs fight for every kick and took it right up to the visitors.  With Will Lewis a powerful target up forward, the Roscoes maintained solid pressure on their opponents who weren’t able to establish their expected dominance.  Levi Otto, Marty Ho and Tom Gunning were all prominent early, and Matt Freeman continued his reliable form in defence for them.

The Xavs turned up the gas in the third term and raced away from the Roscoes who were again, determined to the end, but simply lacked the depth and class to match the Old Xavs in the second half.

Goal Kickers: Lewis 2, Olivier

Best Players: Lewis, Gunning, Ho, Otto, McBain, M. Freeman
